It is not very often that we have wind ensembles with us. Oslo Kammerakademi consists of solo wind players from the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra and they are simply one of the world's best ensembles of their kind. They also play a lot of "contemporary" instruments, which makes the soundscape even more exciting for us listeners.

At this concert, we will hear them take part in two works that were both written from the beginning of the last century. Danish Carl Nielsen and Russian Sergei Prokofiev have written great works for quintets. We will hear both.

Christian Ihle Hadland and Yejin Gil have been on the same stage on several occasions in recent years and they enjoy each other's company. At this concert we get to hear them play Franz Schubert's fantastic fantasy in F minor. In addition, we get to hear the Petite Suite by Claude Debussy. Both works are for four-handed piano.

They also perform within the concept "historically informed" performances on original instruments, which makes the sound image even more exciting for us who listen.
