Therefore, we have made efforts to make it possible for our visiting students to live well while they are here. Agderbyen, with Grimstad and Arendal in the centre, has many options for accommodation and plenty of good food and drink to offer. We have made agreements with three hotels and a landlord of holiday homes (cottages and apartments) on advantageous prices for our visitors.

The Guest House Ibsen
This exceptionally cozy accommodation is super centrally located in the center of Grimstad. They have rooms and apartments enabeling them to host all from one to multiple overnight guests. All rooms have homemade breakfast included in the accommodation price. Some of the apartments also have simple cooking facilities. Accommodation in twin rooms costs NOK 450 per night for our students. If there are more of you, the price per person drops to a minimum of NOK 350 per night. If you are a group of several people, this can be a good solution. If you are traveling alone but want to share with someone else, KIS can be helpful bringing you together.
Bie Apartments
This is not only a camping. Very close to Grimstad city centre you find this provider of houses and apartments. They provide accommodation for 400 Nok per night/ per person if the apartments are being filled. They provide no breakfast but all apartments and houses have cooking facilities. There are two supermarkets in walking distance. If you travel with friends, this may be a great option. If you plan to go alone, but want to share rooms with someone, KIS can help put you together with someone in a similar situation.
Hotel Arendal
Hotell Arendal is a new hotel in the middle of Arendal city centre, located just across the streeet from Arendal Kulturhus and the bus station. The hotel has 91 rooms ranging from very small boxes and capsule rooms in a mixed dormitory to single and double rooms of various sizes and 34 multiple bed and family rooms with 3 to 7 beds per room. There are also 9 apartments with a small kitchen in this hotel. The hotel has automated checkin and checkout, guests receive entrance codes and room number by sms and email on their arrival date.
On the first floor of the hotel Streetfood Arendal is located, an urban and cool venue with great food and drinks, scene and event facilities - Arendals coolest hangout and certainly a place to spend time while in Arendal.

for 5 - 7 students sharing a room the rate is 280 NOK per person per night
for 4 students sharing a room the rate is 350 per person per night
