Classic In Center - "more PEOPLE"
At this second of the summer's concerts in the church, we will hear Dvorak's piano trio number 4 opus 90 "Dumky" with Håvard and Øyvind Gimse, as well as Tino Fjeldli on violin. Dumka actually means "thought" and in Slavic culture is an expression of an epic ballad - a melancholic motif interrupted by more dancing elements.

The first concert in Grimstad Church offered encounters between Bach, Norwegian folk music and music inspired by this.
At this second of the summer's concerts in the church we will hear Dvorak's piano trio number 4 opus 90 "Dumky" with Håvard and Øyvind Gimse, as well as Tino bb3b-136bad5cf58d_Fjeldli on violin. Dumka actually means "thought" and in Slavic culture is an expression of an epic ballad - a melancholic motif interrupted by more dancing elements. In addition to this masterpiece, we get the pleasure of hearing various forms of folk music, including Myllarguten's Bruremarsch and Grieg's variation on it. We also get to hear Telemann's concerto for 4 violins and the magnificent "Kjempeviseslåtten" by Harald Sæverud!
Grimstad kirke is a fantastic space for concerts! We can initially out only 100 tickets for this event, but we hope to be able to increase this.
Prices: NOK 250 for adults, NOK 200 for KIS friends and Friends of the Music and NOK 100 for children under 18
Tickets must be purchased in advance or purchased with a QR code at the door. This is to fulfill the requirements for registration of visitors and for the organization of seating.
"KIS-Venn" membership for the 2019/20 season is valid until and including December 2021!
